About me

I was born in 1969 in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Romania, at present I live in Cluj-Napoca, Romania with my wife and three children.

I graduated as a graphic artist in 2001 from Ioan Andreescu Academy of Visual Arts in Cluj-Napoca.

I am a free-lance graphic artist, my repertoire including: book covers and illustrations, posters, graphic image design and, naturally, caricatures.

I teach commercial graphic design and publication editing at the Department of Journalism and Communication of Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, and I have a daily caricature column at the Krónika, a Hungarian daily newspaper in Transylvania.

My first caricature appeared in 1994 in the daily newspaper Szabadság from Cluj-Napoca and I have published over 3000 drawings ever since in several Transylvanian publications.

My first volume entitled “Szöveg nélkül” (No comment) was published in 2002 in three languages (Hungarian, Romanian, and English) by the Erdélyi Híradó Publishing House, and it contained 222 selected drawings.

This volume contains 365 drawing as a kind of “best of” selection of my caricatures published between 2002 and 2008 (with some exceptions)…
